Shave and a haircut - two bits
The album has captured the essence of some of Dave Reece's earliest influences. Recorded on a basic four track machine the album kicks off with a stomping tribute to John Lee Hooker. The album features Dave Reece playing slide guitar for the first time on an album. There are 15 tracks on the album with all but 3 being original songs. Dave pays tribute to Muddy Waters by including his ‘Who's gonna be your sweet man when I'm gone', and Blind Willie McTell's 'Statesboro Blues' gets an outing as does an instrumental version of ‘Pony Boy' that was also covered by the Allman Brothers Band . |

Drive your thunderbird
The ‘Drive Your Thunderbird' EP was recorded live one crazy day (and night) in the studio. The EP kicks of with the Rocking Title track 'Drive your Thunderbird' and also captures Dave Reece in a more reflective mood as he guides the band through the Dylanesque ‘Devil and the Hurricane' and ‘Endless Saturday Nights' before finishing off with the rousing ‘The One That Got Away'. |

Hearts of Fire
The album was a collection of songs that launched Dave Reece as a solo artist. Ten songs written and mainly performed by Dave with a little help from friends featuring the subtle changes in ‘All The Heroes' a solo acoustic rendition of ‘Golden Gates' and finishing with the lovely twin guitars play out (both played by Dave) on ‘Love Coloured Dreams'. |
